Short sail before work- 1st use of 40cm talon, felt alright glad I didn't go bigger.  Wind a bit up and down, looks like the guys had some good wind coming ahead of the rain just as I left.

F2 SXm, 7.8 RSr, 40 talon.

iS76, 6.1 CRed (08), 30cm Tect Goldwing - Cooraman Creek (Keppel Sands), Wind - 15kn - 30kn gusts.

Convinced myself that I'd finally found a flat water spot here on the Cap Coast.   A mate who has just bought a BGT-31 and speed gear came with me to sail a spot we both thought had huge potential.  Started around 1.5 hours prior to low tide and tried to find some decent runs, but all we found was sand bar after sand bar.  It was an absolute nightmare and my mate ended up hitting bottom and smashing nose of his board.  Somehow also managed to find some rocks in the middle and scratched my new (2nd hand) Goldwing.  We had a good laugh over a few beers at the local pub down there and swore we'd never return.

Another lovely day at Burrum. Wind slowly backing off and a little lighter that Saturday. Stayed up the top of the course and just me and Kelly had the whole bank to ourselves for about 2 hrs, then only another 2 riders with the water very flat. If only a bit more wind.

Still a very enjoyable sail.Smile

PS Great work to Dylan on the auto track uploader that load files to the GPS Team Challenge without the need to open real speed etc.

Snags you gotta sail down the channel not across itFrownUndecidedWink just let the local council know that cruise ships want to dock there and they'll dredge it for you next timeSmile

Choc,

We would of sailed down the channel........if we could see it.  Water was so dirty that you didn't know whether it was 6 foot or 6inches deep.  In fact at one stage I clipped a sand bar and jumped off 5 metres later only to find myself in water over my head.  Cause the creek isn't very big, I don't think there's one main channel, but several smaller ones.  On the bright side, I didn't come across any crocs.
