Kyeemagh, Tabou Rocket 140, Loft 02 7.4, Tabou 48cm Freeride fin.

Its been so long since my last sail so I went to the place where the wind was most likely to blow. A beautiful seabreeze, very consistent, and real summer day feeling. Where did summer go??????

Had to get going earlier than I would have liked due to other commitments but it was great all the same, really needed it.

Hey Guys,

A nice nor easter at Kyeemah. What time were you there Karl? Looks like we took off at the same place... I was sailing around 2-5pm first on my starboard GO with an aqua coloured NP HellCat 6.2, and then changed boards to my orange FSW 92 (with the same sail). I drove and old white WRX. That wasn't you was it with the blue board (I think red sail??) that was probably the first out (beat me by around 10 minutes), and then packed up when I was changing boards?

It was a nice Nor easter. Best between about 2:30 and 3:30. I was amazed that I hit 28 knots on the starboard GO. Had a great run on it right down the runway. I think I would have gotten a great speed if I had been on the smaller board at the time. Then after that I went to change boards thinking I was in for a PB. Was off the water for 10-15 minutes changing board. Made my way upwind, and got one run in  with poor board and sail trim (spinout) before the wind died out and got patchy. Sailed for about 45 minutes in the patchy wind, and then it filled out again but still a bit patchy compared to earlier and only about 15-20.. I was wrecked, so did not sail much longer.

It was so nice to get out, and I sailed until I was struggling to gybe, and then called it a day. If only all days were like this. Would have been nice to have 20-25 consistent all afternoon, but it felt great to be on the water in warm weather after almost a month.

Cheers,

Adrian
