So my second session of 2010 – similar to the first two weeks ago but with a slightly better direction and greater consistency to the stronger winds so much more fun and productiveStruggling with my fitness to achieve any kind of reaching speed but off the wind in the bigger gusts I was fairly pleased given my lack of time out this year, the state of the water and the larger board size.  Rutland is definitely rougher than before with the water right up – it’s rebound formation makes it harder to find anywhere flat so you just have to give up on that and open up through the middle.

The new JP board feels like it needs a bit more ‘go’ from the fin so I will be eager to try the new S10 to see if that solves what seems to be lacking.

Good tip on the music Rob – I stuffed my iPod in with the GPS today and that was classic with the Beach Boys pumping out.  I was definitely picking up good vibrations although the shuffle function did activate a few times when heading over some of the harsher water surfaces.

Another light wind session at Brog. I was in two minds about going out but in the end I decided that any time on the water would help my windsurfing fitness!
