Late afternoon sail at Ricketts Point South with Bondy,  wind droped away when we 1st got on the water then built until I was having a hard time keeping it all together, never seen so many seagulls having a feast on some sort of fish that were in the water at times the water was bubbling with fish.

After serious considerations, analysing forecasts and emailing the guys I took the punt and went down to Area45. Arrived at 1pm to find ...well... bugger all wind. Was the only windsurfer first but another guy arrived and then we encouraged each other to rig. Big gear 7.5m and 135L and barely moving at all. Was going to get back and pack up when the breeze kicked in at 2:30pm. 20 mins later I was overpowered and had a handful with the JP 135L. Went back and rigged the 6.2 and took the Rocket 105 and had a ball in the easter channel for 2.5hrs. The tide came in by then and I thought I give the NM a crack ...BINGO, YOU BEAUTY..one straight line from north shore to the mangroves  (south shore) and back. Was not too choppy, dejavu just like 7 March, pretty much the same. Glad I went in the end.

Tabou Rocket 105, 32cm Torquay Fin, NP HellCat 6.2

May need to score brownie points tomorrow as I was late for dinner and making the most out of this sail in daylight saving, so have fun tomorrow Wink

Jerry, good to see you had a good sail too (two in a row actually), looks you're scoring well with your HellCat.

It was probably the blueshark finally carking it.

Well done Juergen, keeping the faith in 45 paid off in the end with a nice PB !

The new Hellcat feels pretty good lots of grunt for no cams, but it all got a bit to chopy for my setup in the end.

I think Bondy could hear the Jaws music in his head because he kept asking everyone" whats chasing the fish in so close to shore" and then he mentioned he did not fall off once today Laughing

Wont be able to get out today, going out with family. Maybe tommorow !

I went bacxk to see Mentone yesterday the guys were sailing on just a little more south, but was up and down a bit. I decided to get more points at home.

I'm up for a sail on Easter Monday, forecasts are very light at this stage though. But it looks it will be VERY windy next Sunday for the long board revival at the Angler's club.
