Launched about 12 noon at Island Bay and planed to Pt Chev where the wind built to 20+  in lots of squalls.

Had to go into survival mode for a couple of hours then the wind moderated  and was rewarded with perfect conditions for the big gear. Waited untill 4pm to come back to make sure of a bit more water around the reefs off Kauri Pt. Just got back when the wind died so good timing. A new pb set for distance.
