Great day at wello with the boys some really good squalls coming through should have been on the speed kit and 6.3.

There were certainly some 40 knots runs to be made today.

Some more wind today and a bit better then yesterday but still you have to be at the right moment and that was really hard managed to get 4 decent runs today but still not fully powered up....and still that nasty chop arghhhhhh...

But did 2  38s with the select 33 today which im pretty happy with and the board and sail combination and preformance was outstanding....

Tried the caspar 29 on the big board and worked really good but i should of kept the fin in but the wind started to die when to change up to the 33 but thats life at least ive tried out both and they work well ...still the wind picked up later on

Awsome day at Burrum. Bit disapointed I didn't get 30kts but I had a ball and picked up some PB's.

Nice to meet some more people from the GPSTC.

iS101, 7.5 Koncept, 40cm Venom (Northern run) & iS76, 6.6 Koncept, 30 Goldwing (eastern run) - Green Island, QLD, AU Wind SSE 15 - 20knots

By the time I'd got all my gear onto island, rigged and down to launch area I was stuffed.  First sail was on the incredibly beautiful northern run with big gear and got a high 31knot peak which I was very happy with. Took me a while to negotiate the bombies and watching the locals run the guantlet through some really tight gaps in the reef edge was pretty impressive.  Ended up getting bad cramps in my legs and came in earlier than I wanted to.

After recuperating from midday session I couldn't resist a late afternoon sail on eastern run with Kel and a few others.  Very surprised I got a 2 sec PB (first PB since March '09) but pleased none the less.

Was really feeling like an old man that night too.

My thoughts exactly Vando. There were some massive gusts coming through, was expecting some bigger Numbers today. Hard to concentrate @ work with that much wind around. If only we had some flatter water.

Well done snags. No comments = to much funWink

Hey Brad bigger numbers would have come today if we had our speedboards out but the wind was to shifty , yes some nice numbers would have comed up but then alot of slogging would have been happening which means alot of the good gusts would have been missed.

If the wind was a true SE then thats a different story , i would still say the last session that we sailed there was better than this one and like yesterday the wind was shifting from S to SW and the most of the gusts were very short it just did not want to shift to the SE but still i cant complain was a good day and at least we got some wind .....

Great effort mark just next time dont crash Tongue out

Well done guys. Some great peaks in difficult conditions. Well done sausage/brad on the PB's. Got to get up to Green Island some day but that reef sounds dangerous.

Looks like I missed out on a good session at Wello but had to work Cry
