Finally a sunny winters day with a bit of wind!! Good to be on the water and not have to pack up in the rain.

Great to have Jak and Evan on the water as well

Plenty of guys out at Green Point today making the most of the conditions

Used mainly wave and ftw gear today so not great speeds to post.

One of the best winter northerlies at Greenpoint for a while, the weathergod put it on for us. Sunshine, increasing wind to at times around 25 kts, faily consistent, what more can you hope for. Sailed with Evan and Jerry from the team and many others. Went out with a 7.5m first, but it had picked up already, so downgraded to my favourite 6.2 which I went with for most of the time. Was hoping to score a really good NM, but it was just a tad short as I gybed a bit further from the shore and didn't get far enough out in the end, bugger. Second last run I twisted my big toe in a gybe, got stuck in the straps turning on to the other tack. It's sore now, and pretty blue, but hopefully not broken, so hope it will be good for the next session.

Frustrating day for me but glad to be out all the same. Arrived around lunch time, Jerry & Juergen already out enjoying the conditions. Constant changes to outhaul & downhaul - just couldn't get comfortable & little control. Lack of fitness & skill sailing the bay resulted in some pretty poor results. Felt like a total newbie today and I reckon it showed. Not to self - stop sailing flat water and get out in the rough stuff!
