Yarralumla, ACT, AU

carbon art SL45,C3 venom26,3.6m xs-1

5-18 knots, gusty and still cold ,but had a fantastic  session on my new board and faster than I have ever been before.

The board is very different to any of my other boards, narrower ,but easier to tack than my other boards of 45-48l because of its longer nose

awesome, awesome board.Didn't even want to ride my flare 60,(my favourite board) even though it would have been better suited for todays conditions

and I didn't even get wet ,apart from the spray from going fast

now really looking forward to a windy day

Yarralumla, ACT, AU

carbon art SL62,torquie 30 slalom,6.4m SL boxer

gusts  of up to 18 knots, rigged the sail properly but.... Do all naish sails feel heavy?I haven't ever used one I like.

The fin was too small, yet it felt like it had heaps of drag, slowing the board down

The board feels great, but still have plenty to learn on getting the most out of it,a better fin firstly

I did find the ideal mastfoot position and learnt how to use 4 footstraps today, thats progress

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU custom board/22customfin/n/p 5/8rss mk11. great day on the water had a couple of hrs up on Ian ,didn't take him long to mow me down on the distance (well done on the distance and PB Ian ) one thing i learnt today was  my board doesnt like  the combo of 22cm fin and 5/8, the 26 venom would have been a better choice, after hiting a rock and jamming the fin in the boxCry put the CA55 & 26 venom and lasted a couple of more run's, too tired, toocold ,too old, i was happy, close to 30 and 26.71 NM ,decided to pack it in and watch some entertaining tail walking and smooooooooth hi speed gybe's

hey alex i can see more PBs comeing Wink, arky i'm not sure about the naish 5/8 being heavy, but there not like a n/p they have a lot of bottom end,you should try the 6.4 and the 7/0 there worse, maybe you should try another mastWink

Like those pbs Alex. Keep them coming.

Don't know if I should count mine for distance, I must have walked quite a few of those km getting to and from the launch with the upright fin I tried.

22cm sounds very small Keef. My 55 wide starboard goes best with a 32.  I had a 36 on most of today, but it was giving too much lift, did my top speed earlier on on the select XL weedy! it felt like it was past its designed top speed though, won't do that again!

Good Nm, I think we can get even better Nautical Miles at Lake illawarra when we find a comfortable combination.

22cm is small Ian with the 5/8, it looks like it's going to be smaller after i get it out of the board?, i tryed to knock it gack into the box with a rock the trailing edge is looking abit sickCry, the KA5/0 AND 22CM is perfect for that board and the 5/0 would have been perfect when the wind picked but i was to lazy to derig
