As the forecast was south me and the camel tried a new spot in the fleet tried a couple of different runs but it  really didnt happen. So we made the decision to derig and head over to Portland. We missed the best of the wind but just about managed to get 5 runs in before the wind backed right off.
Good to try something new as we've looked at it so many times.

First time with seat harness, felt strange at first, need to change stance as was still using same technique as waist harness.

Nice day on the Ray, good turnout of speedies all mainly trying for 1 hour pbs and Alphas. Really tiring though as you had to work hard to keep close to the sand bar, should of used bigger board and fin.
Not windy enough for any decent bear offs. I tried the east course once but was way too broad in SSE wind.
Another 10 knots of wind would make this direction sweet, maybe a 30+  1 hour :-)

I admire your adventurism and tolerence of non-stop rain...definitely an indoor day today!   Good speeds-well done.   I'll just polish my fins ready for the next sunny day!

Wasnt much wind after school ended today, by the time I came off the water there were 2 kites going out through the boats that couldnt relaunch.

Anyone have advice on seat harnesses? I was getting used to it by the end but only felt really powered up a couple of times, should have rigged my 7.8 rather than the 7 or maybe used a bigger fin - I used the new SIMMER slalom 34, didnt spin out once Laughing. Good news is the 7 is now rotating better but still looks quite flat. Swagger said to try a smaller mast - the website said it was a luff of 480 so thought it would be impossible - fortunately its a 476 so can try my 75%one mast or my severne blueline and see if it rigs better with one of those two.

I had a nightmare had to goto work, met El Reg after work down Old Castle and it wasn't good watched people on the otherside and it was obvious the wind was dropping.
