5181 days ago yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah..... I made it, 40.23 ... Today was my last card as i am going back home tomorrow!! What the fantastic session, my best eversession with only 2 of us on the water!! I came back from Melbourne yesterday just for today.. Was not much left on the forcast to make it a good session but it happen in a little hour window before the tide went full high!! For once the the south wind was usefull with the tide coming in, and the runs was just greeeeeat and so long! 1.5 km
Went on the spot 3 times to check it out, 2nd time at 12.30 was just low tide and only Mal was there sailing just powered on 5.4. He did believe the wind will come more around 14.00. So I thought to myself, I got to get it right this time and if I want to crack it I have to use the 5.0 (It was very optimistic looking the condition!!) Because the wind was not that strong and had so much south I though I start with the CA50.. first run, lucky gust 36.8.. then for an hour, only doing 34-35s. Just powered on the 5.0.. I though its over, the tide was coming in.. But was still such a pleasure doing the full run from start to passed the red boy, it was just fantastic runs with no walking was definitly a plus! I was thinking an extra 5 knots would be nice.. and it started to fill in slowly, was getting 35-6s, went back to shore to get my 44..first run 37+ I thought yeeeeees its happening.. Mal had enough and is packing.. I am the only one on the run... Back to shore and added 3kg , next run 38.5 yeeeees awsome.. fully powered from start to finish.. Back to shore, added another 3kg, next run 40.23 yeeeeeaaaah.. I was getting tired cause I had to rush and the way back was a killer through those chops, I though 3 more runs to get the 5x10.. 39.8, 39.2, 38.8.. I wished I could have done more, by then the tide was 3/4 high, had to pack up quickly before getting trapped. Mmmmmmh I am feeling so releived I made it, it was such a great session to finilised my trip over here! I can just imagine the guys here tomorrow with the forecast.. Use again my latest hand crafted rock solid 22 speed fin, so much potential still ;)
