Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU.  20-40knts W.

F2 SX Med, NP Zen 4.9m, JP 36cm III fin.

Great sesh at the lake.  Typical gusty westerly though.  Very happy with the PB.  Scary stuff as it was pretty bumpy with the sandbar underwater due to the high tide.  Still frustratingly not over the 30knt 5 x 10 sec average which is especially a pain considering my top 10 second run was 33.3knts.  Just wasn''t the consistency there to get more good runs.

Two medals of honour to give out today.  One for Ric for his sensational rocket ship impression after bearing away in one of the gusts of the day and another for Sean for giving it his usual red hot crack and also coming a cropper.  Well done lads.  You'll have earned your beer tonight.

Narrabeen Lake, NSW, AU

A long day. Started with a drive up to Swansea with Leo but it was actually too windy for us when we got there. It looked to be an awesome spot but you would really need to know where the deeper channels are that you can sail in as it all looked very shallow. Sooo we turned around and headed back to Lake Dangerous which was living up to its name! Rick and Sean were both out already when we got there but soon came in after Rick managed to smash the rail of his lovely JP Slalom and Sean managed to blow apart his North boom.

Leo and I both went out, I had my Koncept 5.0m and Drops board. It was very very gusty still with anything from 5 knots to 30/35 knot gusts coming through. The most annoying thing though is the lake isn't open to the ocean at the moment so it is a really high tide with not much flat water. My congrats to Andrew Rogan who got a smokin PB in amongst all that chop and also to Rick and Sean for their speeds too. Leo you just keep getting better and better.

I need to either get some more weight for my vest or eat a few dozen pizzas cause my skinny little body just can't keep my board on the water through the chop.

Anyway, any sail is a good sail. Bring on the Nor Easters though!!!

Kurnell 25-30 knots West (gusts over 35)

Starboard S-Type 104, NP Alpha 4.7, 26cm Select

Strong and gusty with large chop (not as big as usual though) NW swell with SW wind chop on top - weird!

I headed up towards Towra Point to see if there was any flat water, but the chop was short and sharp - not nice. Best speed runs were out in the middle bearing off with the NW swell.

Lake Dangerous

JP Slalom II 94, Goldwing 32, RSR 5.4

would have had a couple of pb's here if it hadnt been for sandy point last week.

The lake does a great job of putting that i'm gonna die fear into you.

Hooked into way too big a gust & could see tragedy ahead but couldnt unhook, shortly after enough chop speed bumps to shake a few teeth out i went over the bars @ 35knots & severed the front end of my boom along with a big bend in it.

Good to see a few PB's today & that i wasn't the only one silly enough to bear away in those gusts...

Well done Andrew, Sean, Rexy & Leo. Sounds like a gutsy effort was made by all, up at the lake ysterday. Sorry to hear about the gear breakages. Better that then bones though?

If there was ever some catching up to do, tis now? Indeed, if I may quote the old bard himself;

I wasted time, and now doth time waste me;

For now hath time made me his numbering clock:
My thoughts are minutes; and with sighs they jar
Their watches on unto mine eyes, the outward watch,
Whereto my finger, like a dial's point,
Is pointing still, in cleansing them from tears.
Now sir, the sound that tells what hour it is
Are clamorous groans, which strike upon my heart,
Which is the bell: so sighs and tears and groans
Show minutes, times, and hours: but my time
Runs posting on in Bolingbroke's proud joy,
While I stand fooling here, his Jack o' the clock.

King Richard II

Slightly out of context, but you get my drift?!Cool
