Wind dropped, not enough light to re-rig a bigger sail. Decided to get a bigger board out of the van, good job I did. I found it a lot easier today with the simmer sc race sail, and made a couple of nice gybes with it. Hard work with marginal wind for its size though.

Matrix coaxed me into an hour time, all for a good cause I guess.

No wind for speed but a great day with Ian, think I had my duracells in today.

Jim Crossley (3088km):

Wind against tide chop held back the speed but fun anyway.  Did a few runs then went wave sailing.

Pete you are The Maan!  Swags kept texting me from his job, that you and Ian were still hard at it.  Great numbers Pirates!   Puts a few more runs on the board.Laughing

Are you raising the distance bar then Pete? If I can match that for 7 days then my 1000mile challenge would be over pretty quickly!

Absolutely amazing, I guess you went in when the wind stopped (I see it came back just as the sun went down)

Fantastic effort Peter, love the 24 kt hour to go with the 264 kms, bet it felt greatCool

Love to hear which kit you used and see google earth tracks. It always interests me to see where people sail particularly for marathons like thisCool

If you click this link and scroll down, it is the location shown - although my track is no where near what Petes was. The tack will have been similar but probably a bit longer on each run unless he went out into the middle of the harbour - I expect if he did then not for long as it gets quite boxy chop out there. As the tide drops you get pushed out to about where my outermost run was.

Pete, open the google earth file from gpsresults, once you have it do a 'print screen' - top right button on your keyboard. Open windows picture editor and paste as a new pic, save it then upload it here. Or send me the file and I can do it for you.
