Tris Haskins (805km): Better than writing HTML code - but not the windy day I was hoping for !! Tris
Stephen Squirrell (6594km): With some of thje kids we look after away on holiday I could get away for five hours after the school run this morning. With the wind off on the seafront and high water at approx 9.30 my only local option was Levington.I got there as the tide had just turned and with the gusty wind up to 27 mph I started with the 6.4,but in the lumpy up and down conditions this was never enough :( so after one of my straps came undone I came ashore and rigged the 7m which was better. As the tide dropped the water did become abit smoother but the wind was very up and down !!! I was sailing out and back from the small beach by the marina entrance in the deeper water. So this was about as good as I could find in Suffolk and once again the conditions where crap really but at least the sun was out and it was mild !!!
Peter Cutts (4260km): Very disappointing! mild sunny great forecast managed to escape from work etc Axis 262 - 7 mtr Simmer race
Mike G (4335km): One of the gustiest days that I ever remember sailing at Brog! Averaging 18 knots but regularly dropping to around 10 knots and then blasting us with 30 knots. It was difficult to achieve good speeds because the gusts rarely lasted long enough to get a full 10 second run. I sailed for over 3 hours but half the time I was non-planing so I only covered 22.6 nautical miles! On a positive note, I got to try out my new 5.1m RS:R EVO II and the 370 X9 that has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years. :) Selected headcam footage on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57Ahz9qqDFA Spot / Conditions: Brogborough Lake (England), 18 knots (gusting to 30 knots, dipping to 10 knots)
Ben Tilston (3051km): Best session for me at Rutland this year although incredibly gusty at times. Rutland / SW 18-30kts / Slalom IV 68 / NP RSSII 6.7 / Select Lightning Evo 35 |
