Quick sail at Holoway's Beach, on a sunny day, very gusty and not as windy as I hoped but happy to be on the water.

Off to nightshift  Frown

Hollaways with FireBob and Freddy,

Used Ca 50 and Vmg 6.0. Bit under powered but still a good first run with Ca 50 at the beach.

Holloways Beach

Reasonably windy at home so went for a looksee with Billybob.

Firie Bob and Kel also had the same idea. Great couple of hours.

Firie and Kel looked sailed like some good speeds are acoming.

And just a reminder that GPS batteries don't last forever!!

jp126 s/sport and 6.6 O2 sail

Light Wind Reconaisance Day on the Eastern arm of  Arlington Reef.Wind 10-15 knots SSE.Stunning location ...

Massive effort to make it happen & just realised we forgot to flush the boat engine at the end of the  day ...AHHHRRrrr

The Eastern arm is around 40 klms from shore,~ 10NM long & has large patches of sandy bottom so today was about checking out the potential when the wind is up . Getting there means bashing for an hour into 70-80cm high chop -just awful ...

Tried the Fanatic 140l Ray 51cm select super evo 9m2 north warp  then the naish 110l sp /venom 44/8.6 rsr evo 2

Cant wait to try this spot with 20-25 ESE wind & someone else driving the boat ..!!!

Arlington reef, Kermit, 7.7H2.

Went for a cruise to Arlington with Cam, Locky and James. Wind was really light when we got to Green so cam convinced me to use his 140 litre Fanatic Ray along with what must have been Australia Two's old spinnaker. Harness lines were in the wrong position for me and by the time we had done 12K's over to Arlington my right arm was stuffed. Cam took over the big gear from here and i went for a cruise in the boat until the breeze picked up enough for Kermit and the 7.7.

After a nice cruise around the reef the others packed up and followed me on what should have been a 45 km run back to Yorkies. After about 15k's the wind died out so packed the gear up and went back in the boat.

About 10 to 14 knots and 28 degrees on shore, I'd rather be out sailing with them than taking photos.....

Hey Freddo, big congrats with the Pb Cool Bugger about your GPS as you were deff going faster after it died Yell

As for the FNQM Arlington crew, another day another adventure Cool Looks like the wind was better on the coast for a change, but I'd recon cruising the reef with crystal water on a nice warm tropical day would be the duck's nuts Smile

Nice PB Freddie, congrats. Keep em ticking over.

Great work Cam on continuing the quest to find a great reef location, looks very inviting.
