Made the long drive up to Burrow Beach in Dublin as the forecast looked awsome. Low tide was while it was still dark so that only left a 2 hour window where we could sail from first light but still the 400 mile round trip was worth it as i improved all my speeds for the year. Was absolutely stacked and massively overpowered at times where i could have easily got going on my 5.0m but just had to get on with it as there was no time to rig another sail. Used my I Sonic W53 for the first time and it's an awsome board. Called it a day after a big wipeout as i'm off to compete in the Speed World Cup event in Port St Louis next week and don't want to miss it though injury

Hopefully now this is the start of decent wind here in Ireland so time to make up for lost time with not having any decent wind for most of the year

Congrats boys nice effort was looking on youtube @ Burrow Beach nice speed strip!

Good luck in St Louis as well maybe Alastair you can show ISWC boys some of your true potential if the wind blows, Be nice to see a underdog show some grit seeing how unlucky you were @ Weymouth must of only been a few that got that lucky gust from what i see?

Anyway good luck again and can't wait to see you get them 40 knots on the dial........

Just seen your post Swag's as i'm just back from france and had hardly any internet access over there :-((

Didn't have a good event :-(( was 45 knots average gusting 65 knots the first day so with the back problems i've had all year i decided it was too much for me and didn't head out, the next 4 days had little or no wind so no competition and then the last day the wind was bolt onshore with 3-4 meter breaking waves. Tried to get out but got taken out by a wave on the way out to the course breaking a batten in my 7.3m so retired before i broke anymore gear.

Seams by bad luck carried on mate to the event in France so hopefully next year things will go better for me
