Snake (13281km): Awesome session today, high tide made the run a nightmare but managed to squeeze a few gooduns out of it. Happy with the pb's. No alphas today as I was absolutely overdone on the 5.4 Great day!! Sonic 85, Ram 5.4, 28 FO Weedster
Pointman (8480km): Woodies. Pretty solid, prolly gusting to around 27-28K. Had fun, but not overly stoked with the numbers . I was on the CA47 + 6.4 Koncept + 23 KA assy for the speed. Combo felt OK, but only got one decent peak. Seemed to be hitting a wall at 36-37K, not sure why. High tide, so the strip was great, and I was sailing very close to the shore. Quite a lot of South in the breeze, so maybe it was a tad too square? Plugged in the 93 S-Type + 32 Goldwing at the end to bust out some Alphas. Disappointed with the result. Nailed some sweet gybes, but I was pinching too high on entry (my entry speed was only 21K on my best one). Shame cos it was primo for alphas and the gybes were like a hot knife through butter. Just had my geometry all screwed up Well done to Snake and Lao on the PBs. You guys certainly made the most of the conditions!
lao shi (27489km): Big day at Hardie's 2 PBs. Woohoo! Arrived early and it was windy. On the water by 7.30 and put in a solid hour in a moderate southerly. By 8.30 the wind was gone. Decrepit arrived and we had a chat also Pepe who unfortunately had to go to work. Got sucked in to slogging around a couple of times and then gave up. Sat in the sun waiting and about 11.30 it came in. Did a few loops round the first channel marker and then the scientific platform before deciding to go across the other side and finish an hour. A 23.6 but wind had continued to build so keep going. Got back to the ramp to see Decrepit heading up wind so followed him up and had a quick chat with Sammy at the top of the estuary. I was going to join their hour effort but it sounded like I was not welcome so I set off on my own. Went way to broad early on so was at the bottom of the run with half an hour to go. Thought I had used most of the estuary but was still not using the full width. Worried about depth on the far side. Sonic was great and I reckon there is more still on the right day / path. Finished at the bottom of the estuary as the wind really picked up. It was a well overpowered slog back to base. Had 117 miles on the board and as the wind was howling by this point decided to get the speed board out. A few nicely powered up runs on the 5.7 and decrepit pointed out the broken bottom batten, Not bad speed for a broken sail. Very happy with probably my best all round set of numbers for a single day. Thanks to the Manbramob for use of their home turf. Warp6.3, sonic 100, elmo 29 weedy for all except the lat 15ish Ks. Warp 5.7, nonose, elmo wailing banshee 24 weedy.

Hardpole (5685km): Mettams to Sorrento. Got to use my new 4.2 ezzy wave, the one from 1998 has been retired but to tell the truth I didnt think the new one felt much different. But then the conditions were a bit extreme. Some light wind spots (a few moments where the wind would almost stop completely, then 2 seconds later bang its on again). Could see the realy windy bits because the seas and swell would all be flattened out by the gusts. Great fun but a bit tiring.
Not too many straight lines out there today.
