Carve 131 , 6.8 then 6.0.

A frustrating session at Pinnaroo'st. First rigged 6.8. Then it peaked, and I swapped for 6 but the wind dropped, and couldn't get it going any more. Could have rigged 8m today.

Some frustration with my new board. First rigged the weed fin, and got it slipping all the time, then swapped for the original dager, but downsized the sail, and killed the session. I kept waiting for some more wind, but it never came. Probably picked up as I left...

Should have gone to Pelican Point for the first ride.

Great afternoon at Peli with some good gusts. Can't seem to crack the 30 barrier lately  Just have to keep trying. Lots of peoplpe out on the water today.

Melville --> Wallyworld return trip. Breeze 10 - 20knots SSW - very patchy.  Wallyworld almost turned it on - really big holes in the breeze followed by good squirts.  I grovelled up to Wallyworld with the sail set really flat, then let off the downhaul once I got there only to find the breeze come in shortly thereafter ....

First try with the new board - it was offering more than I could take advantage of - I couldn't believe how easy it was to sail in really patchy conditions - plenty more fun to come on this kit.

Alpha tuning session at Safety Bay with the Snake. Tried various track positions and interesting how much of a difference a few mm makes.

Got some screaming gybes in including a 17.38 min speed at 53m I think my previous legal best was 15.9. A 24.56 at 68m

Just couldn't get the speed in and out with the 5.7 but boy was it sweet to gybe.

mile has 2 gybes in it.

Fun arvo but busy with kites and boards.

Well done on the PB Birdman. Very envious of the new board.

Arvo blast at Hardie's. Much choppier than I was expecting but was out there for fitness so not all that fussed. Had a go at a few Nm's which was a good rush but not the 30Kts ave I was hoping for. All the usual suspects were there, good to catch up.

Nice seabreeze at Pinnaroo around 18-22.

LOC training on the Futura 111 + 7.4 Koyote + 40 Choco weedie.

Nicely powered up on this combo and had a great sail up to the Marina and back downwind.  Couldn't crack a 30 today, gusts were there but I didn't have the killer instinct for the bearaways.  Instead I worked on board speed on all points of sail, and tried in vain to trip up the Futura gybing in gnarly chop.  Board just holds her line and powers on through.  The Koyote is a revelation.  You can flick it around in gybes like a wave sail and it's very forgiving in the gusts.  Probably gives up a bit of low down grunt to a cammed sail, but makes up for it in ease of handling and waterstarting.

Fun sesh.  Looking forward to the real thing
