Pt Walter delivered a sweet session today. Thought the 5x10 would have been a bit faster but then again it was very peaky. Great turnout with a few PBs to come I think.

Went to Hardies but it looks like I should have done Pt Walter - 5 minutes from home!! Great effort Ado and Chris and you too Nic - good stuff!

Used F2 SXS 08 with KA Koncept 5.8 2011 and Tectonics falcon 30 first and had a fun time doing speed runs through the chop whilst the others all seemed focused on alphas. Good to get the combo tuned. Peak 2 sec was 35.81 and 5 x 10 34.91 on this combo.

Shifted to the CA SP 47 with a KA 21.5 assy with the same rig. Peak was 35.84 and 5 x 10 35.03. Not much difference!!

As Hardie said, his run is not as smooth as it was 2 or 3 years ago as there has been changes in the marine plant assemblages [much of them have died] that have affected the way they dampened the chop. Today was bloody choppy!!

Well done Hardie on the smokin alpha PB. Looks like you guys were getting good peaks down there.

Melville beach with SS49, 6.2 Reflex, 23 Delta and later sailed up to Point Walter with IS 90, 6.2, 32 Vector, should of brought the speed board up but would of struggled keeping it afloat on the journey back.

Safety Bay, WA, AU

Headed up to Woodies first and had a good chat with Darryl from the South Siders. Decided to head back to Safety Bay. Initially rigged the 6.5CR and despite some fine tuning, realised that it was actually bloody windy and had to change down to the 5.9CR. First time I've used this sail as fully powered up as it was today. It would have been a steady ~28-30 knots for a while. A couple of brown trouser moments coming back from Penguin Island across the top of the sand bar in the shorter chop. Couldn't quite line up the gusts for a good run down the weedbank. Bloody good fun though.

Should have come up to Wally World. Had to drive up anyway later. Great numbers team, esp. Norts and Ado.

IS86, CR5.9 and FO weedy 28.

Very pleasant afternoon speeding in the warm waters of Wallyworld with plenty of punters out.

Warp 6.3, JP 45 Speed, CL/KA 23, breeze in the mid 20's with the odd puff nudging 30.

That's a WA PB for me, and a great way to wrap up 2010.

You beauty!

Great to meet up yesterday.  Watching you blasting down the drag strip yesterday at 40+ was simply inspirational.  Congrats on the numbers and have a great new year.

Thanks for the sacrifice Lao - it's genuinely appreciated. Hope you and your missus enjoyed the evening move under the stars, even if it was rudely interrupted by a persistent sou-wester.
