Final some wind. Had the two RS Slalom Futura kits out. Could of gone a third with the 5.3m Flare setup. Had few slalom jumps with the 6.2m slalom setup. The first one was a bit big and uncontrolled. A very good sail with JMAN and JAK.

My RSS Futura setups i used today

Neilpryde RS Slalom MkIV 7.0m (2011)
Starboard Futura 111 wood (2011)
Select 37cm SL7 fin

Neilpryde RS Slalom MkIV 6.2m (2011)
Starboard Futura 93 wood (2011)
Select 33cm SL9 fin

Was that a Seabreeze?? Wow, first time since weeks nicely powered up without lulls, feels so nice. Arrived fairly late after work when the bay was already whipped up a bit, but great fun flying over the chop fully committed in a bump & jump session with the boys from the team Jerry and Stephen.

Great day today, got there early arvo and rigged the 7.2 knowing that I would probaby have to change down later.

The breeze did pic up a fair bit and ended up on the tabou 3s and 6.2 hellcat and even then I wished I had rigged the 5.8 instead.

Great to be on the water.

Well done on the pb Windrider! Kit looks great. Glad you finally had a chance to use them for a bit. Which was faster?

What do you think - more of the same tomorrow?

The top speeds was from the 7m and 111. The 6.2m and 93 will be faster but by the time i got them out the swell increased and there was no flat sections left. Good for chop hops and bigger jumps near the no boat marker off the reef there.

Well done guys. Looked like great conditions.

I sacrificed my sail so Mitch and Jamie could have a go this arvo at Hampton. They alternated on the board and I thought afterwards that if they were wearing the gps they would both have had PB speeds!!Tongue out It's amazing how protected the water is in close compared to out the back as a result of the breakwater. (it was killing me, but they were both keen, and I felt like a better parent for the effort!!)

Think that gives me a good chance tomorrow if the seabreeze comes in.

-Nice sails Steve!

Good on ya Pete, you were surely missed. Hampton is a great spot. Had many great sails there. Did you take the modified board with the centre fin? Not sure about the seabreeze though, let's cross fingers.

Jak, if you look at yesterdays graphs South Channel only got to about 15 Konts and at St Kida it was 20+.

One thing I did notice about yesterday was the water was not as warm as the day before maybe that has something to do with why the seabreeze affect seemed to work yesterday. Not to mention Bondy stayed away that would of helped Wink

Yeah I reckon we definitely can count this as a seabreeze, stronger in the north than south, didn't noticed the difference in water temperature though, but something must have kicked it off. The gybing fin worked well obviously, and great distance and speed Jerry, no wonder you were knackered at 7pm. I'm counting on a sail on Tuesday, forecast looks good so far, will take off work if I have to.

And Stephen, the sails look great and congrats on your PB.

I took Tuesday off, I'm planning to sail at Bonno from the morning til early arvo, SW change should come through before lunch, according the 7 day forecast by 11am. Stepho is likely going to join us too. When are you heading to Bonno and how long are you sailing for?
