5070 days ago 2 categories Southend twice in 2 weeks!Tough conditions today - too broad for the West course too work and too square on the East course so we were doing the fastest runs on the bend between the two. It was a nasty finish to the run hitting 1ft chop at peak speeds - I watched Mike have a huge crash, I think he bounced along for 10 meters!Ian was fast...again but maybe it was the electric drill he brought out with him in a rucksack - nice weight jacket. Gusts just weren't quite big enough today for anything faster, fingers crossed for tomorrowÂ

5069 days ago Remarks A very disappointing session. The wind was light but I seemed to be sailing quite well and was within a knot of Will after the first 5 runs. At that point I noticed that my main batten had burst through the little cap in the ultra cam so I did one more run and had one hell of a crash bearing off into the chop. I headed back to the car and re-rigged my 5.1 whilst the wind kicked in and the guys started flying. By the time I got back to the water the tide was coming in and I was absolutely knackered. I did three runs but felt completely knackered and headed back to the car in disgust. Highlight of the day was my first speed crash in ages and will saw me bounce across the water to end up about 10m in front of my kit. No damage done fortunately!
