Not a good session at all, rigged too small, had a good run for my first then struggled to get up to speed before the run. Went in to get a bigger board and try it with the smaller sail and had problems with the brass insert on the fin again. Derigged and went to buy new brass inserts! Hopefully better tomorrow.

Cracking day at the Ray. Just pipped 40 for the first time.
Learned alot to day. Everything started to feel lighter/quicker when I moved my weight forward.
Will, Ian and Jim were absolutely flying so looking forward to seeing their results. Some good team points should be coming in!

Southend PB Fest free for all, well only 4 speedies were out, where was everyone?
Congrats to Will for first 40 av, Simon for first 40 max and Jim who PBd too.  only bummer was snapped harness line just as I was getting dialed in and a broken bottom batten as well as being knackered after yesterdays session.
Again best speeds were on the end of the west course, good angle and pretty flat water, but wind speeds were up and down.
Stoked with PB 10sec that run felt good!!

Sorry to drag the average down, seem to be a bit unfit today.   Used the 5.8m X15, first on the W49 with 25cm fin, then 87ltr iSonic with 26cm.   Maybe a bigger fin might have helped.

Awsome! A days of PBs for me.  Still got some work to do on my stance so I don't look like a monkey and need to learn what makes a fast run fast or just average.

Hmmm,

First time out since breaking my ankle beginning of December done ok i reckon? Gutted not to get a 30 average but really hurt trying to hold the board down in the chop on the death runs(had a few lucky recoveries hey PeteWink) and trying to gybe. Now limping around the house but it will get easier!!!

Good show in the harbour nice to be out with you all again and well done to those that went up to The Ray more wind tomorrow but think i'm gonna take it easy for a few days......

Anyway team orders coming later...........

Should have been epic according to the forecast but in the end just a fun sail... The wind took a bit of time to come through but in the end was ok on the small slalom board. My sail was not working that well today and I seemed to be lacking a lot of power so will certainly need some retuning, it felt like the gusts were going straight through me and the acceleration was not there, I think more outhaul was needed. The old board was great in the chop though.
The little course had the perfect angle but the wind on it was so light I stayed on the longer course pretty much the whole session, did try one run there but no good.
Good to see so many people out and warm in the water too.. The GPS software is showing a problem with my Alpha speed, I had a few good attempts so might need some help to suss what has happened with the data

Shame the wind didn't really show as forecast.very square should have used 7.0, but all in all a good mornings blasting, Great speeds in Southend boys gutted I couldn't make it. Hopefully we will have more wind soon.

Cheers, just found out how to look at Alphas in GPSR (!), didn't take advantage of the 50m rule, back to same point so need to work on that.

Good session fellas, thought I might of joined yorkie at s'end. In Essex but without kit, almost got blown off the motorway driving back through holland on Friday. Drove past many spots that looked to have good 'ditch' potential, not dissimilar to el reg's Somerset speed strip..

Good to see so many getting out!
