Will Trossell (1638km): Great day at Southend, everyone got PBs. I managed to break 40 average - finally! Gusty wind so a lot of runs had high peaks but much lower 10 secs - unusual for Southend but short runs on the corner again today. In bits now after 2 days sailing but very happy.
Steve Carter (3639km): Big wind shadow at Dip so went to Fludyers and rigged 4.7m on 85l. Overpwoered to start with then wind moderated until not enough. Started to rig 5.2m and moved to 6m on 94l. Only one run as not enough wind. Tired quickly so did not sail much, but nejoyed the sailing I did get in. Sea quite choppy but Ok on small board.
Stephen Squirrell (6594km): Just not up to speedsailing at the moment with dodgey shoulder and some broken kit that needs sorting but could'nt let all this wind go to waste !!! So thinking that the wind could be slightly off more wsw than sw like yesterday I took the gear to Levington. So after breakfast in the van and with winds gusting to 30mph rigged the 5.8 but was chicken and took out the big freeride instead of the Falcon 90 !!! The wind was very up and down and the chop was bad with the tide high but I had an hour + and am gently breaking myself back in !!! Am disappointed to have missed such a good day at The Ray :( but could'nt face the walk - next time as I am getting icthy for some speed !!! Then went and watched Ipswich win thier third match in a row 3-0 :) Good day !!! and well done to all who have had such a fast couple of days :)
Peter Cutts (4260km): couldn't make it to the Ray so went to Point Clear -chance to practice with my Falcon 80 - bit under powerd but too lazy to change - I like it but trickier to Jibe - freestyle comp there today -- good to watch em well Done will -- 40 average!!! bloody shame i could not make it to back u up ( did Mike G go ?) My wifes mum passed away 2 nights ago so got probs

Mike G (4335km): A hideous day at Brog! It was inland winds at their very worst... I spent 3/4 of the time thigh deep in water and the other 1/4 having my arms wrenched out of their sockets whilst trying to get into the harness and straps. It was incredibly hard to get any decent runs and I had another huge crash when I hit some two foot chop whilst doing 32 knots. Unlike the day before I didn't manage to unhook so it took a few minutes sitting on the board to recover. Just to rub salt into my wounds I got home to discover that everyone who sailed at Southend got PBs! Spot / Conditions: Brogborough Lake (England), 18 knots gusting 35 knots |
