Kyeemagh 18-23 knots, gusts high 20's

Carbon Art SL58, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 35cm Select S05

I was going to have a leisurly cruise today, and it was 15-18 when I got there around 1pm, so I rigged the 6.8, but the breeze slowly but surely picked up which turned things into a bit of a handful (with the chop!!)

I had a couple of eventful bearaways, 29 knots to 0 in 2 seconds. I now have a brand new hole in my 6.8 Cry

Easy sail down at Sandringham, near the St George Sailing Club.

Bit patchy, especially on the far east of my runs, but smooth water was sooooo tempting !

Fun times on my AB+ 59, TR6 7.0, and a new fin (and harness) today. Replacement fin needed after the mysterious spontaneous exploding C3 from last week. I am now the proud owner of a Flying Objects 32cm Nitro. Sweet.

I also solved the sunken fin problem with a small stip of packing strap in the back of the fin box. Seems the perfect width to wrap almost around the back edge of the fin head... and ensure it stays high enough to be flush with the board. Better than the cut-up beer can which is more appropriate for tappered fin heads (power-box) and not Tutle !

I'm also happy to report the Prolimit Kite Seat Pro harness is Great. No riding up with leg straps thicker than most harness bars. Thanks Sam.

Oh and to continue the theme, I did break something. Luckily just a harness line ! Phew. Had 2 spares so all good.

Cheers.

AlfaMale.

Bump and jump what a washing machine.

It was flatter earlier, apparently.

Clontarf, NSW, AU Starboard Formula 160, VMG K70, Race 700 NR, NP RSR 9.8

10-25knt Southerly. Wind picked up about 3pm as I was rigging 10.7. Decided on the 9.8 but wished I had brought the slalom gear down at that point.Foot in mouth Headed out with local boy Andrew V and Sean Dayhew. Not particularly comfortable formula sailing. Still, good to get out after a week or so.

I miss Hawks Nest!Frown
