5039 days ago 2 categories Ocean Sail w Decep, about 15kts to 20kts and pretty solid, much cleaner wind than the Estuary, first time out in ocean on iSo86 TR4 6.3m LE weed 27 Very Exhilirating, 30kts on the ocean on slalom gear feels like 35kts on the estuary

Got down the run to find only David, Shane and Simon down there, thought others would turn up as the wind filled in, faffed around for a bit before finally getting my crap together, was undecided whether to go 6.7 or 7.8 in the end my general rule of thumb came into play which is if in doubt rig big.
Hit the water to find the kit nice and fairly well balanced, couple of minor tweeksand we was having fun, the wind filled in some more and I was a thunkin the 6.7 may have been a wee bit wiser but was enjoying flying of the fin with the board a rockin and a rollin, eventually it was getting a bit much so i went in to change down.
Chatted with Matt for a bit, the wind looked like it had backed of a tad so I just chucked on a weedy, which definately sweetened up the ride. Got a few nice runs in.
Enjoyed watching Simon and Shane going at it, had some fun runs trying to chase down Matt, and was very glad that Yoyo came up ok after sailing through the rock garden with a pointer on to achieve the expected results of such foolhardieness
Spewing I missed out on the ocean blast but still had fun

Quick sail. Was not really windy so just went for a sail. Tried 1 NM but was not powered up enough for any real speed. I'm getting sick of 7.8m weather

Yet another great Safety Bay Day, joined by Sammy again Tom decided against it as it was looking a bit light earlier. A bunch of bogans were filling the water just outside the pond with tuna oil before i went out so was a bit wary outside the pond.
I initially went out on the 101 and was having a great time when my harness decided to rip on me leaving the hook hanging on by a few threaads. Raced in and raced home to grab my spare harness got back and the wind had kicked in, did a few more runs on the 101 before busting out the SP50 for some fun.

Had an excellent arvo with Elmo and shane. Got the old Sonic up and going (thanks hardie) what a difference, it was so much better than the excite.
The fin was top notch thanks Sammy, tried to hit that 30 but arms legs burning like crazy.
Elmo if I cant move tomorrow its all your fault, thanks for all the help and tips I will get there.
Best days sailing !!!

5039 days ago 1 categories Another farking fantastic late 17-19h session with Adam
Nicely powered for the Alpha with the Tabou where I did an hour with a stack of high 23s.. getting there slowly
Then went on the 50 nd joined Adam for some burn out , not really powered then, but still really flat
I noticed today that my beloved Tabou had a massif hole at the front (under, caused by yesterday near missed kiters crash, end up climbing on the top of a buoy to avoid the last second kite change direction )
