How was conditions down on the"speed spot" near wall??

We almost came today there but went in Punat which was horrible too.

But yes, this spot IS extremely gusty :(

The story goes like this, we came at Ribič road entrance at 11.00, security guy told us, that there is some marathon competion and is not possbile to drive with car to Ribič resturant parking! So we took an alternative and drove back to Portorož, park near Droga Portož building and try go into water there. The problem was a big wind hole in front of building, wind rotating and blowing from all directions, so we have to swimm for a while to finally get going. After 5 runs from Ribič-Bernardin i have enough, wind up and down, from 5-25 knoots, in one moment barelly planing on other fully overpowered with 7.8, my arms start to hurt so I go out and gave up surfing for that day. We were on watter from 12-14, with a lot of stoping. Actually we didn't go on"speed spot" near wall, I don't know why, i thik because of so much other problem we complety forgot But I think that situation would be pretty similar, only with more flat watter, but chop was not so anoying as gusty wind was!

Don't worry. From my experience, the wind in soline is much more gusty than portoroz bay. So you probably didn't miss anything...

Matjaž, maybe next time try to start from the Yachting Club, they start with RS and formulas from there. And yes iti is even more gusty in soline. less chop, more gusty...

we were in savudrija, still gusty but not so much as you describe. more like 15-20kn from 14:00-17:00.

We check the situation at ribič resturant before we went home at app. 15.30 and it looks better, but we were not in the mode to rig once again whole gear and enter the watter. Nice to hear that you enjoi, we hope for better next time!

Neno, I'm prety sure that on Sunday there was not enough wind for "soline". The problem is, that the wind in soline is much weaker than in the main strem of the wind between Ribič and Bernanrdin. If there are normal conditions in main stream you cant even came to the soline, because there is a huge wind hole or there is no wind at all. When the wind is strong enough for surfing in soline, is on regular spot totall mess, huge ugly chop and wery strong gusts and going to soline is more or less escaping from regular burja spot, because it becames more or less to hard for joying slalom surfing!

About the yesterday's conditions......what did you expect from the prognose like this? When I waked up in the morning and check all the models I just went back to bed.
