Sandringham, 25 knots South

Carbon Art SL58, Loft Switchblade 6.8, 35cm Select S05

Finally got the CA58 out on the speed strip. Early start, one of the first to vote at 8am, then straight down to sandringham to catch the speed bank while it was exposed. It was a bit patchy early on, but as the wind filled in, the bank started to go under and it chopped up. Super stoked with the speed today! Laughing

Gybes. Lots of gybes:

Sandringham, NSW, AU

20-27knts SSW.

Fanatic Falcon 86, 32cm JP Slalom GenIII fin, NP RSS 6.7.

Took the new board for a spin.  Got some good easy speeds initially but then went all gumby. Little bit of trouble with spin out.

Sandringham, late start so not speed strip at all but a good fun sail with Dave. Great to get out, was not feeling that flash health wise and catching the rail for a big catapult made me pull up stumps early.

JP SS 100. NP V8 7.5, Nitro 34 (maybe a little overdone sail wise Wink)

Larko (3629km):

Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Fun sail with Millsy, Spence, some Sydney lads and a fair few locals and bloody "look at me" kiters. Pretty light at first but some decent squalls and long runs. Very short, confused chop so hard to get fast speeds. Had a few nice drags with the Ponytail Prince. Could have used 3 different sail and board combo's but in the end stuck with big gear and clenched at times.

Disappointed with Nm and Alpha, definitely doing way longer runs but results not there?? How do you do 26-28 knot runs for k's, gybe and come back and get the above??

JP V 68, RSR Evo III, F/O 32 Weedster.

F****** F3 debacle was a nightmare!!!!

Sandingham Southerly winds from 20-25kts. Quick afternoon session with Tim down at Botany Bay. Very bumpy as it was high tide and gusty.

Starboard Futura 93, NP RS:Slalom 5.5 and 6.2, Goldwing 32cm.

LEO (5644km):

Taren Point, NSW, AU

got there 730 but no wind to speak of 15-20kn so rigged 7.5 m ka falcon 38 fin

it soon shifted to wsw not good the runs had alot of rolling chop and the wind was too far west

then it really picked up i was well over powered not in a good way so changed to the CA 50 34 fin but the wind wasnt consistant to keep it a float

should of changed down to 6.7 and at times 6.3m but the tide was rising fast decided to stick it out.

great to be sailing.

ENOUGH OF MY EXCUSES Laughing CONGRATS BOYS ON THE PBS YOU ALL LOOKED SOLID

AND THAT WAS YOU TIM!!  WAS A GREAT CATAPULT!!! Yell

Just missed the sandbank, the new rocket ship wasn't fussed, 34.75 10 sec & sooth as silk with plenty left in the bag. When it got to that stage of the wind crapping out every time i got the the bank it was time to head in. I shouldnt have gone out for round two.

All in all a good day on the water & nice to get the JP lit up

JP Slalom Pro 59 VIII   North Warp 2011 6.3  Tectonics F1 32

Got there a bit late, missed the sand spit.

Wind was up and down and side ways.

Needed a bit more fin. should have used the Goldwing 32.

Great stuff all - particularly those who nabbed PBs. And James, we're still waiting for the baby bonus but the board was sort of a present to myself after the birth...

yeah Milsy the smaller gear is a lot of fun & a real buz at speed..

But given the summer we had with out formula I would have forgotten how to sail, who would want to sail with less than a 10.7 in anything under 18knots... Can't beat formula racing...
