Great fun session today felt great and comfortable all day, starting to get much more consistent with my gybes too.  Wind 15-18kts from SW ish, then died to really marginal conditions later in the day.

Used my 98 Ltr Sonic freeride (possibly for the last time) and 6.6 Koyote.  Later in the day changed boards to JP Supersport 136ltr when it went marginal.

Reckon i could have got to 100KM in the session if my GPS didnt run out of battery at lunch time.  Luckily Mick had a charger in his car and i was able to charge it up for about 20 mins, enough to last the rest of the arvo.

Very up and down wind day. Tried a trio of boards today.

why did I even bother.

Had a great skate with my 7yr old son Wil at the Inverloch ramp though.

LOCATION:  ANGLING CLUB

WIND:  WSW- 12-18 KNOTS

TIDE:  LOW- PEAK_LOW

GEAR:  CARBON ART FR 77, C3 Venom 40 cm fin, KA Koyote 6.6 up to Koyote 8.2

DETAILS:First run on the new Carbon Art took a bit of getting used to but wow!.  The board gets on the lane early but then feels really locked in.

The wind was strong early on, but after a few runs it began to drop off.  Came in and rigged the 8.2 which powered me up in the lulls.

The high tide meant you could run the entire length of the strip although it was choppy at the boat ramp end.

Good session with the Busters!

KA Koncept 6.6

Starboard futura 101

Not my best day sailing.

Legs and arms were cramping

Couldn't get the board settled or the sail comfortable.

Hey Dan, thats some nice gybing and great distance there! Your gybes certainly looked smooth. Good top speed for the wind strength also. Well done.

Nice gybing George! Re: not being settled - I think you might need a decent sail, something without cams - maybe an ezzy!  Innocent

Looks like the Southerly Busters had a very successfull weekend. Well done guys, for both days!

As you know most of my sails are Ezzy. I love em,but as I've only just bought the Koncept, I've been seeing how that's going.

next sail I'm hoping it's strong enough winds to sail under 6m!

George - yeah, just trying to get a bite as Saturday was KA city on the inlet, besides myself and few NP's I think. If you try the newer ezzy's (2010-2011) you'll notice a big difference especially in the "lighter feel". Still well ballanced and nice tuning range as ever.

Yeah, I only just realised that it was a KA sails domination on the inlet.

I like the new Ezzy you were using.

But if I had the choice of a new sail, I'd love to get my hands on the Point 7.

These belong on the supercool wall
