Strongest wind I've sailed in 2 years since joining the GTC. Hope it's a sign of the season to come. Pity the chop was the biggest too. Got my first 30 knots on the dial at the beaches, shame it was just below in the 2 sec. 

All the signs were for wind this morning so I went to dam early.....Rigged 6.6m Loft 02 and went out with high expectations.    Only done a few reaches when BANG!!!!,       snapped my mast.     .....No option but to wait for help.     Because of inclement weather there were  not many boaties on dam,  but  Lyn who had just arrived at dam saw I was in trouble and approached a Powerboaty named Matt who is a friend of our Dr Cam and he brought  Lyn out and  rescued me.     All this took about 90 minutes.

Well by the time all this was over and  I rigged up for Lyn, alas the wind had completely dropped out and she only got on the plane once.

Not the happiest of Sundays, but at least we are here to see it all.

Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU

Went for a spin to Tinaroo with Hoppy Bob for a looks see.

Wind on the way up was rocking the van but of course was gone once we got there.

Loft 6.6 , JP s/s 126 .....Tinaroo with misty rain is staring to get coolish.

Nice afternoon sail on my home turf with Gaz.  Never quite strong or smooth enough to punch out a 30 kn peak but very happy with my Nm and hour.  Great to have Gaz to speedsail with off Lammermoor beach.
