Quick session of Avon, NC. Sailed out to the reef to find flat water, but the wind was dying. I was 3 miles out and had no choice but to use the 6.3. It was over very fast as each run was worse then the last. Still... it was fun to sail in a North wind and it's always a great day in Hatteras, NC.

Great spot and great for long distance, indeed. I have not found out how to go fast in chop yet, though, and did not get a chance to go out with Dean so he could show me the flatter areas near the reef where he sailed. The boards I tested had 46-50 cm fins, anyway, which was way to long for the shallow spots (and a pain because there already were too many weeds in the water). Still was a blast, though.
