Area 45, Mahers Landing, VIC, AU

NE 10 - 12kts  Maybe a couple of gusts higher.  Quick afternmoon sail with Mick and Dan

Xcite Tush 7.35 Select 40cm

Bit of weed around.  Could not work out with the power in the sail why I was not going anywhere until I stopped and cleaned the fin with a bucket full of weed.

Low to mid tide worked well on the NE

LOCATION:  AREA 45

WIND:  NE- E- 10-12KTs PEAKING 15

GEAR:  Jp Excite, 50 cm g10, KA Koyote 8.2

DETAILS:  Not much in the forecast but decided to go anyway  Nice soft NE in the morning so I cut a few laps arouns the sandstrip.  Doug and Dan arrived and the wind built and went more Easterly late in the day.  A few nice long runs but not super smooth.  There was also large amounts of floating weed that were hungry for fins.

Mick... I think its about time you developed a love affair with some weed fins... We dont know anything about "straight" fins anymore --- that kinda sounds a bit weird dosen't itEmbarassed

Nothing beats a sunset sail like yesterday its very relaxing... which is more than i can say about rigging, then unrigging that bloody boat my old man has.  I was fuming doing that, and was aching to get on the water with you guys.  Glad I got to satisfy the cravings late in the arvo. Spewing i forgot my GPS though, i'm sure i had a 30+ there somewhere Laughing
