Green Island, QLD, AU ESE 18-25 kts  Seas Rough +++

We had great plans but there was no flat water .The NM run at arlington was a mess today ...

We had a couple of nice runs on the Eastern section of GI but the tide retreated rapidly & the stronger bullets were few & far between.

RRD 90 sting 32 RSS 7.0 mk 4 then exo 50 venom 28

Most frustrating day ever at Green Island.

Went out with Cam in his tinnie with plans to hit Arlington for a NM and hour session but when we got there it was so easterly we couldn't bear off along the reef and the current was to strong to be able to reach the eastern side of the reef. Gave up and went back to GreenCry.

Was rough as on the high tide and couldn't keep the board under control so changed to the Carve but even that didn't help. Went back to the CA53 as the water started to drop and flatten out but wasn't able to catch any gusts. Changed to the CA50 and straight away went 1/2 a knot quicker in slightly less wind. Kept going back and forth hoping for a gust but it never happened so went back to the 53 for a couple of Alphas and finally picked a gust to get the 36.

Kurrimine Beach.     We were a bit late getting on water.     Nearly didn't go out but when I saw Herby get planing on 7.0, I changed my mind.  I used 5.9m Loft 02 and 105l Screamer.

Yeah looked pretty choppy today! was on the island but had to work.. :(

Hey Gaz I've been thinking about that 5.5 toody ripped and how you were saying you knew of someone in WA (was it WA?) that can do a good job and replace the panel.. I might think about doing... that did you have anything you were sending also or did you already do that?

Cheers,

Billy
