+++ teasing mode on:

The JP boards are definatelly on the good way becoming relaxed sailing speed boards in high winds. We know we are on the good track and will continue develloping. I wanted to announce a world record attempt but Martin was first... bugger. Now I could only sail 5.5 which was really overpowered and my arms and leg were hurting so much! With 10 knots more I could sail 60 knots!

Teasing mode off ++++

Sorry Martin, it is just so ironic that you as speedsailing icon was not able to sail today. Hopefully next time in better shape to show oldies still go strong.

A great opportunity to go to Da Curve today with Jacques on that powerfull waterscooter! An impressive machine to go over the big chop. Pitty the Wadjes couldn't make it in their boat and wise decision to abort.

Respect for the few people really able to sail up in the north today, it was soooo windy!

I found my limit today in windspeed: have too little muscles and too small balls to hang on today. Would like to return to Da Curve someday in more mellow conditions with 6.2 to explore my speed limits. Today I was nowhere close to a single in-control run. My fastest run wasn't even sheeted in...

Thanks to my wife for letting me free today! hahaha

Yesterday it was less windy than forecasted at the Dutch Slalom championships and i used a lot of energy pomping my 7,8 around the course. Today i hoped for an epic session on Da Curve with windspeeds of 30-40 knots. I think we had 45-50 knots today and this was a little bit to much with this wind angle and the rolling shop. Alex and me were not always sailing at the same spot so i hold back a little bit just for safety reasons. If something happens you are in the middle of the sea with so much wind and nobody around.

The Wad1Team turned around half way with the boat and this was a good decision, the way back with the waterscooter was really exciting and maybe a little bit dangerous. I think Alex van der Meer liked it a lot;-)

A lot of respect to Hans, who proved today at the Brace he is not only performing well in mid wind conditions. He was the only one sailing real speeds today while the elite of the dutch speed scene was standing on the beach waiting for the wind to decrease.

Blue Steel !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Epic day had real trouble getting to the brace on time allmost cost me my job but couldn't let this day go bye.

used a JP Speed 45 / 5,5 evo III and a C3 Slingshot 20

first run was really nice but when i looked on the screen F(*&^*^()*^forgot to put my gpss on luckely i could make six more runs because we didn't have a lot of time.

the angle was getting better with the minut but also chop in the beginning was increasing had to abort a few runs because i couldn't get downwind. 5.0  would have been enough because i couldn't close the gap a few times. Could only get one more run in at the end 2 spin-outs in the beginning but got a small decreasing in the wind and could get it back lock in and enjoy the strong gusts was totally stoked when i saw the 49,5knots max i'm so close to 50 now.

Respect to Jan with his speeds just amazing with his weight .

Jurjen great run respect you could get another one in ! Maybe i shouldn't help you next time ur fast mate

Great day on the Oostvoornse Meer again. Almost a copy of the Monday last week. Just a little bit more wind;-)

After work session, when i got at Herkingen beach the wind was decreasing so i went for the 6.3 this was the right choice for 10 min as soon as i arrived on the strip .....

The wind came back in full force, to much for me but the sun was already setting so no time to change down and i just did the best i could.

Finally a impovement on the 10 sec average though so i'm a happy puppy.... i was the last one to leave, that's always a special feeling.

Respect gentlemen! With these winds achieving these speeds only is reached with nuts the size of basketballs ;-) Hans, 50 knots will be your part soon.... Jacques, wise to go for safe in these conditions, and if safe means average of almost 82 kph... Alex, you have got muscles enough, but these winds are not normal. I hope tomorrow the winds will be less, as this is too much for me, ha ha. Theos, nice !!!!!!!!!! The older the faster LOL, morgen weer?
