Melville Beach, WA, AU

94 iSonic, 7.8 Lightning, 34 Choco.

Thanks for the lend of the sail Scott. I managed to get planning today and for longer.Fin a bit short, but worth looking into a bigger sail.

Futura 141, 8.5m Lightning, 50cm Drake

HWR, 8.5m Lightning, 70cm Deboiche H

Started out a bit of a worry then changed to the HWR and had probably one of the most enjoyable days for a long time.  Got home and realised how good a time I had racing around with our Wolverine, the Admiral, Dynamite Davenport, Annie and Glenno.  Annie pulled the perfect 'Gotcha' with a "I'll race you" and promptly pulled away while I was stuck in a lull coming off the beach. the Wolfman was flying with the formula and providing some interesting close quarter sailing. Tortoise and hare stuff with Nelson, and a smart and cunning undersail by Scotty.  Glenno managed to pull a quick 2 secs with the smaller gear.  All round a great day!Laughing

Isonic 150, O/D 8.5 & Canefire 56 - Wasn't holding out too much hope, but turned out to be a fun sail.Smile The new Canefire works a treat, thanks Jesper, had the board up out of the water and much more responsive!Cool Even cracked hover mode for a while between the slop! Caught a gust about a 100 metres behind Borgy and did the big undercut past him!CoolTongue out One smug Davenport!! What the? 100 metres later Borgy was right behind me! Damit!Yell Don't let him pass, don't let him pass!! Neck and neck up to Majestics, thought he was going to come over the top, but piped him at the post!!!CoolCoolLaughing Great fun!

Melville, SB 161 Reflex 11 LE 45 weedy. First try on the formula board. Only fin that I had that I could fit was the little weedy so not really ideal but it still was great fun for first outing.

Exocet Cross 104L with 7.5M T-bird & vector 38

First few runs felt great & I thought with a couple more puffs of wind this will be fantastic, but it fadedFrown

We sat around for a long time & then I got the AHD out & we had a ballLaughing

Drag racing with Borgy & Darryl on the big gear, slalom racing in slow motionLaughing

Some knucklehead locked their keys in the car & nearly missed out commpletelySurprised

The RAC & half a brick solved that problem after signing a waiverWink

Great day out & totally unexpected.
