Have been surfing for the past 40-odd years and I took up windsurfing (as an alternative fill in when there was no surf) about 20 years ago...I always windsurfed not too seriously until Nilss invited me into the GPSTC in Perth Southsiders...I guess that is what has really brought the fun back for me and has also improved my sailing and sailing knowledge. I'm too old to really mix it with the young guys...I'll leave the big speeds to them and just go out & have fun. Saying that my goal for 2012 is to get a bit more speed happening...initial target was 35 knots, but I surpassed that on the second day of 2012, so will need to aim closer to 40 I guess!

Oh yeah, I like cars too and do a bit of part time amateur motorsport stuff. Bought myself a Subaru tarmac rally car in October 2011 so look forward to a bit of fun in that when there's no swell or wind! I also moonlight as a performance driving instructor with MC Motorsport at the RAC Driving Centre mainly doing the V8 Superdrives.
