col (5162km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Falcon 111,Blade 7.8,Volt 38 A bit overpowered towards the end but couldnt be bothered changing down as I had to be off the water by 3pm. Fastest I have had the 111 I think. A lot out enjoying the conditions.
ray gun (5342km): Pelican Point, WA, AU Iso94, OD6.0, GW33 Sper windy and Super choppy with the boats out on the river. fully powered on th 6.0 but so hard to find any flat water. Some close calls later decided to pull the plug. Lots of people out on dusty gear today, but ranks thinned out pretty quick when wind picked up some more. Macka Packa was out braving the weed patches and Nebs with a smile on his face.
Slappa (3385km): Cervantes, WA, AU What a awesome place this is!!!!!!!!!!!! Wind kicked in early @ 10am. Got down to the point to find all the usual suspects hanging around. Couldnt find the contest site !!!??? What the !!!? Its at the other point. Got there to see some of the guns flying on the already rough speed course. Rigged my fastest ever combo thinking the wind will fill in more ......it was only 1.30! And forecast was for 20-30knots Got out there and had an absolute ball. What a set up with all the crew and cars right on the point where max speeds were happening. It felt colloseum like and you did not want to stuff your high speed gybes right in front of everyone (literally metres away) Was tough going at stages with a rough course getting even rougher with heaps of crew giving the speed strip a crack, it got chopped up with loads of board wake. Wind did not hit the levels expected and I could have done with a bigger sail for most of the arvo. LOVED IT. F2 Sx 85litre Overdrive 6.5 Vector rockit 35cm Wannabees get to cervantes. It rocks and only took 2hrs 15mins from carpark at point to my house in melville. thanks to all those who organised the contest
