Too many fishermen at Manor so back to Dip where well offshore (was on a bit at Fludyers but closed off with renovations). Rigged 135l/8.5 with a nice 44cm fin Mark lent to me. Ended up off Golf and Marks and Ian kindly helped me lug the gear back to car park. No wind inshore and well overpowered further out, unable to get back up wind as straight into short waves and taking off with big gear.
2* as now know what fin I should get after mine broke, thanks Mark

A surprisingly good day at the lake! Much windier than expected but pretty gusty and choppy.

Despite the tricky conditions I managed to beat my BBs (Brogborough Bests) and set a few new lake records - peak speed, 10s, 5 x 100s, 100m and 250m.

I was pleased to get a v-max of 40.02 mph at Brog. It has been super-hard to do that in our unpredictable Brogborough chop. Some guys were trying to wave ride today!

Spot / Conditions: Brogborough Lake (England), 23 knots gusting 33 knots, SW
Kit: JP Slalom V 60, 6.2m NP RS:Racing EVO II Ltd, Tectonics Talon 32
Tech Details: Navi GT-31 V1.4 (B0803T), GPSResults v6.96, Doppler, Cubic Spline.

Off to Dubai for three weeks with work tomorrow so with not much chance of any more sessions this year  I took the opportunity to go today.

Great little session with just my dad out blasting between the farm on Hambleton and the clubhouse.

It's taken awhile but broke the 30 kt barrier on my raceboard today and good fun trying as the sun set over the Welsh Mountains _ shame it wasn't a fraction more wind !!!
