Daymer.

Was undecided as to go for a road trip and try the fabled spot oop north or somewhere down south but Jonny Vapour convinced me to sail at Daymer.. A good choice. Wind as ok at 8.30 in the morning so decided to risk it and go for the smaller slalom board and 6m. In the end it was just about right and although the wind was patchy and gusty and dead square, it was fun hammering it out through the chop. Best run had a 40.12 peak slingshotting off on a hard sharp gust, and literally running way out at a silly angle, over the top of some irregular chop and into a large lull. The10 sec was way down due to the nature of the wind and chop. Super fun though

Sailed for nearly 3 hrs in the end and feels like starting to get some of the old technique back. The sea was not too cold either.

Looks like a very low spring tide is on its way, it was too low for any inshore runs when I arrived at 11am, and was still low when I derigged at 3pm.

First time out on my new Hot Sails GPS, got on with it from the first second, never used a sail so stable. Water condition was horrible with chop everywhere and still managed a couple of 30knot peak (only just).

The acceleration is phenominal and they deal with every gust and lull like no other sail I have used. I have never sailed through low tide chop in the Harbour so fast. Will do a first impressions review on my site over the next couple of days.

Short, sharp & choppy but good fun sailing in company. Just like the 'old days' in the harbour!

fun session at da kirb again, some small pbs on av and max 2sec. Not super windy but very constant conditions and perfect angle arond 280 285. I was struggling to finish off my 10 secs in the chop a few close wipeouts, Jim C was flying over the chop on his MOO and has won the day very well done, you owe me a pint for talking you into going lol.
