Wind was definitely stronger down here.Good call!! NE-NNE about 20-25k.low tide and relatively flat inside.Opted for Fanatic SL79 this time, with flying objects 250 weedie.and 6.0m Gaastra GTX.The 6.5m would have been the go earlier on especially on the inside.Sailed with Chris and Ads.Chris with her 5.5m Gaastra swift, and Tabou rocket 104. Ad's used his 6.0mPryde RS and JP Sl101.

I think we were all pretty stoked with the wind and conditions. Weed wasn't too back close in, but worse out back.Good session!!!CoolCool

Knock knock, test test is this thing working? If it is yaaay I just posted my first GPS results! Very gusty 15knots, but by the time it kicked in late arvo I was buggered from falling in trying to stay on the board in between gusts. But managed some good runs, did some really good ones and crashed (heaps) into one gybe and noticed the GT31 was on "Pause"....I guess it didnt record that run or two or whatever number of runs I did? Must put it into "Lock" mode.

Oh OK MarkH, I admit (shamefully), I must hold the record for being one of the longest members to not ever put a result in let alone buy a GT-31!

Chris had a great sail yesterday as well and impressive numbers for her first time with the GT31.As soon as she resets her password with the Team Challenge log in,(forgot username and password!) she can post her first results.

Thanks guys, promise to do better next time now that I have a reason to go faster.Smile Great time Gabe! 2 more knots and I would have hit your prediction MarkH but 3 short of what I was targetting to do. Could have done it if I stayed out longer as it did pick up! Wind was still very gusty though just a little stronger of what was around earlier by around 5pm. Thanks for helping me work out the final GT31 set up...should have locked it!

Amazing first post Chris! Well done and welcome to the GPSTC. You're going to be one to watch!

It took me 2 years of GPS sailing to get numbers like that.

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone. It was a real surprise to me that I went that fast. Hopefully I will be able to improve over time. Roll on 30 knots and more!
