Yeeha, great day to get here. Sausage, Troy and I got in just on low tide. had a nice sail with 20knot gusts and some smooth sections.

First sail for a few weeks = major arm pump. Could only do a few runs at a time before having to stop because I could hardly grip the boom! Wanted to join in the racing but wasn't up to it. Oh well, still good to get out Cool

Pretty indifferent day. Got on the water around 3 when the tide was turning.  Should have used the iS101 but got by on the iS76 although had great difficulty getting up to the top of the course initially.  Lovely to sail on flat water again although water depth was impossible to judge due to floodwater and there was a lot of debris floating around.  Stuffed my hour attempt up by getting too wide off the bank and running aground on the other side with Vando.  Also then stopped a little while later to say hello to Geoff and Greg chin wagging on the bank but timed my step off beautifully with a oyster laden rock and cut my foot and stuffed my fin.  Right at the end I was going for my Nm run back home and had a good get off hitting something next to the third marker - no damage luckily.  Tricky from SA Speed demons saw all.

Great to catch up with familar faces and meet new ones as well.  Sorry I couldn't wasn't allowed to stick around for the weekend banter and festivities.

Might be time for some glasses Snags old boy. You seem to be making a habit of hitting things. (Watch out for charter boats ie the barge)

Kel,

We have to register Troy as our newest member before end of month so he can post his times.  Whilst he's really old he'll still be a willing contributor.  His nickname is "Trojan" although Sailpilot reckons "Trojan Whore" would be more apt.Wink

Hardie,

Whilst everyone knows about the legend of Troy, what they don't know was that years earlier the Greeks commissioned a deaf builder to undertake their grand scheme.  Unfortunately when finished, the builder was overheard saying Horse........Horse? I thought they said Whore!

PS - it was an in house joke Sailpilot quipped as a bit of a pun and it seemed to stick Wink

Get him to put a request in via the GPSTC site Snag's, and I can sign him up (as long as he's not faster than the team cap'n)Wink

Yeah thats about right snags, but as my foggy beer clouded memory recalls it was like. Troy.... the battle of Troy.......Trojan Horse......But, he's not the full horse, therefore.......Trojan Hor.  I don't know where Trojan Whore came from. Innocent
