Conditions eased off at lunch time and I switched to Lyn's 116 L Screamer. About 8 sailors out today on dam and wind kept decreasing till there was nothing. Beaut sunny day. .....LTD....Living the Dream

Wow what a great day at Green Island. Woke up to see only 15 knots on the reef, normally I wouldn't bother with that but it's been a very lean past 4 months, wouldn't have sailed 100K total. So with the promise of Luca making the effort, Billy's first trip over and the GI Guns already there I wasn't going to miss out. The trip over to and back from Arlington was a bit of a challenge as my fittness level is lacking at the moment but a couple of long runs down over the reef made it all worth it, one of the best spots I have sailed. Check GE and it was a 12K one tack over and the furtherest we got from Green Island was just over 15K.
I'm very happy with my new Loft Swichblade, very easy to wack together and sweet straight out of the box, no more race sails for me. The new Red Rocket was also sweet as, I'm a happy chappy.
Lots of fun sailing with Billy, Luca, Mad Cam, Kel and the lovely Belinda. I had the GoPro so will do a short vid and post to Seebreeze in a day or so.

4648 days ago An absolute cracking day for my first trip to Green. Thanks for the loan of the GPS for the arvo sesion Belinda and Happy 21st B'day. First time apprehension turned to absolute delight in the first hour. Casually watched the big boys rig up the big gear, thinking...HHHmmm, will I have enough in the engine department. But after not having had a sail for some 2 months and going over the handle bars twice on my first run out, my 6.2 was more than a hand full for the time being. Steady 15-17 kn with the odd 18-20 bomb coming thru made for one of the best sailing days that I can remember for a very long time. Good to finally get the chance to have a sail Cam, Kell, Luca, Firie and last, but by no means least, Belinda.
104 Screamer, 6.2 Sailworks Revo.
PS: I LOVE GREEN ISLAND. PPS - Thanks for the shots Billy GI - sorry we coulnt have sail with you, next time eh.

4648 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU 10-15 kn mostly 10 !! Beautiful sunny day and water still nice and warm.
Well it has been a long time! After 2 lots of back surgery and a busted shoulder it has been about 10 months since I was on the water. Thought I would play it safe and try the Dam. 7 of us today at the Dam -Ian,Herb,Lin,Clem, Jill, Hans, and yes Hans was going like the "clappers". The wind was just ok, mind you did not expect any wind on the Dam today from the chart. Hope to sail with some of the other team members through the year.
