Early morning start at 6am with Steve, Russ and Jez.  Plenty of wind and quite choppy!!  Started off with 6.2 Reflex III, but on my fourth run got thrown over the front bearing off-the-wind over chop.  Quite a bit of damage to the sail (understatement) and the boom, but the mast was still in one piece.  Did the walk of shame back to the carpark and rigged up the 5.6 Reflex III.  First time out of the bag and felt awesome.  Got my nerve back and had a ball going for it off the wind with the iSonic 86 and Venom 34.

Apart from the gear damage, an absolutely fantastic sail!!!!

Down at Dorans at 6am with Dave, Jez and Russ. Wind was cranking, rigged the 6.2 but way too windy and changed down to the 5.6. Dave was hammering doing some really fast runs, same with Russ, well done guys. Bad luck Dave on totally destroying your near new Reflex 3 6.2 and brand new boom. I was using the Reflex 3 5.6, Isonic 2012 87 and Venom 32cm. I just couldnt get over 35 knots today, pretty frustrating. Well done on the Pbs Damo. Well done Russ hanging onto the 6.3 in that wind. Awesome day of sailing and cannot wait to get back out there to go faster. Thanks for the speed tips Dave I will put them into good use next sail. You forgot to say your crash was at 36 knots. Thanks for the beer Russ.

With such great conditions it was pretty dissapointing to sprain a wrist within the first 20minutes on the water. Overpowered with the Loft 6.3 and catapulted with an awkward landing on the boom. Hopefully be back on the water in a week or two. Excellent results by the the rest of the crew in the tough choppy conditions.

Henty River Tas.

Been waiting to sail here for soo long!, I even bought a 4wd solely for the henty!. Saturday was great with around 20 knots and planning in both directions all the way up the run. Amazing place, loved it!

Tried a seat harness for the first time... bit of getting used to but is definitely a good thing.

Henty River. finally made it and what a place it is. Wind was wsw at first at about 15 to 20knts dropping out at times then went W for the rest but was able to do the full run. Lots of sand fingers along the run to watch out for and hit one doing about 28knts which made me move more to the centre of the channel. The high banks and hills on the leeward side of the run affected the wind in many places along the run but when the wind was there you could do the full length. What an awesome spot. Glad you bought the pajero Ben. Cool

Good   fun sail.  Great to use the new ( but seconhand!!!) jp slalom .  Felt very comfortable to sail.

Noticed a few injuries out there today,  just shows what a lack of sailing does to the fitness.

   Sprained wrist,   sprained ankles,  .

Just shows , go hard is go home!!

You will get him soon Russ, maybe we need a shot of something before we go out, so that we dont think about the risks and put it on the line Wink Maybe thats why Dave drinks all those energy drinks, he would be buzzing by the time he hits the water Laughing

Well done Dave you certainly go for it(balls on the line) and consistently get great speeds Smile
