Usually when I wake up early in the morning I am stupid the whole day. Today was no exception. First I rigged the big gear to get familiar with new spot. After couple of minutes I got a bit too familiar and stupidly crashed into the shallow riff, got slammed and hit with my palm directly into the sea urchin. My beloved fin is now a bit shorter :( After some selfmade butchers work on my hand (Jan, thanks for knife!) I went out with smaller gear. Conditions were just great! Flat water and nice constant wind (some 15-25kts), but not really enough powered for better speed. This PB is really nice to see, but I could feel that I could do better if the wind would blow just a few knots stronger. I was also pretty stupid trying to do 2s max in not so powered conditions instead of trying some @500. And all my good alphas were waaaaay to wide. Sometimes I am not really sure if the 50m radius is enough for a really good high speed gybe? Once I entered the gybe with 34 knots - SO MUCH FUN!!! This ended with 25.5 @500, but of course, only in 80m radius . Have to work more with my alphas...Nautical mile is including 2 gybes :)
After all, great company and great GREAT day! I think (hope) that this is also the best 5x10 result ever in Croatia! JUHUHUUUUUU!!!!
