Wow what a great day, with a fast crew on the water. Pleased to take back the spot record for Port Sorell. Was very happy to have a few 42's and a 43!! With pleanty more runs in the 40's. Every thing felt great and i felt in tune with the gear. Well done to all and their pb's. Just glad we bet those southernersWink. Hopfully another good sail tomorrow.

Port Sorrel Sand Bar

Excellent day on the sand bar today. Got on the water at 8 and started on the slalom board, which felt fantastic with a new 32cm C3 StingII slotted in. Wind strengthened slightly an hour before the 0.16 low tide which brought the speed boards out for a run. Spot on low tide a couple of nice gusts came through producing my peak speed of the day. Meanwhile everyone else was knocking a Pb out here and there which was fantastic.

Felt like i could still get more out of the day but just could not get it together again, with a couple of 39's and lots of high 38's. Still stoked with another PB Tongue out and still feel as if i can go quicker. 7 of us out on the water today with 2 super keen southeners making the trip up. Congrats to the team on their Pbs Smile

Would rather have been at Port Sorell but had to work at Burnie so kept driving. Spent most of the time waiting for wind. Sailed with two new speed sailors Brad and Barry, more converts from the waves nice to meet you guys.

Sailed the causeway, very gusty 5.8 naish stealth, 81 jp slalom, casper 29cm

good to get through the gate and sail the place i learnt to windsurf, last sailed here 13 years ago!. first sailed here 26 years ago!

This place has potentional for speed , a bit too west when i sail but nw would be perfect.

 well done everyone else.

Great fun day up at Port Sorell with the Northern Crew, always great sailing up there with them and catching up :)

Thanks for coming with me Russ, bet you're glad you came :) great road trip, one of the best.

Pretty happy with the day, no 40 but happy to be consistently putting down 38s on the SP95, was trying to get the SP95 quicker but should have just got the speed board out instead, got it out for the last 30min of the session, only got 3 runs in on it but just didnt get the gust.

Fun day :)

BIG congrats to all the PB's from today and great speeds :)
