9am start with the wind looking very nice, rigged small stuff and the speed board. A very south wind which made it tough to get on to the course, it was faster back the other way. Wrong for an my assy. Frown Borrowed a fin from Simon (Vector speedweed) and took that for a few spins. Nice fin, powered up really well with no hint of letting go and got my fastest speed on that fin. The tip is very fine and easily broken.

Speeds done on Ca40,Koncept 4.4, Vector speedweed 24

The rest on Sl52, Koncept 5.7, Duo 26 weedfin

Very SW wind, probably tending to SSW at times made it very difficult to get high speeds and broad runs but great funs balsting square on speed and slalom boards. Some really violent squall while we were rigging so 4m's and 4.4m's were rigged. The wind eased quickly and 5m became to sail of coice on a large speed ot small slalom board. I tried for a 1 hour but got flattened by a 35-40 knots squall after 45 mins so gave up and tried for some Alphas when the wind eased again.

Great fun day with lots of friends! smiley

Great fun day. Was hella strong looking while rigging so rigged 4m and 4.4m. Both turned out to be too small. Kept expecting it to pick up again so persevered for too long. Eventually rigged 5m Koncept which was perfect for the rest of the day. Missed all the decent squalls so crap speeds. Decided to keep using my speed board for some alphas and general blasting around and really chuffed at how good it was to gybe and how few I dropped. I should improve the alphas on it with a bit more practice. Also dusted off the C3 Slingshot 19cm which I haven't used for ages and loved it as I needed a non-assy for zipping along both directions. It only let go once when I hoofed it a bit hard in a gust while trying to keep sheeted in and even then it re-connected easily.

Sunny almost all day, heaps of mates, hot shower and a cuppa at Daffy's afterwards: all in all an excellent day. Good to catch up with so many crew on the day and overnight at the Hollins household - thanks to Jen and Craig for the hospitality and for putting up a big bunch of hungry, thirsty locusts!

F2 Missile XS, Slingshot 19cm, KA Koncepts -4, 4.4 and 5m.

Very, very southerly so not very fast. Got in about 200 meters right down by the red bouy that was off the wind enough. In fact port tack on the way back was the quickest but not when running assy fins.  Very weird doing high 30,s with the board feeling like it is sailing sideways.

Good to see a great turnout.   Used the 2013 Ka Koncept 5.0 proto most of the day and it fely really nice.

Luv Mus small and medium.  Ka 2013 Koncept 5.0 proto.  Ka Speed 21.5 and 23 assy's

Sandy Point,

Like everyone else has posted before, Too square for any decent speeds, but a good day overall.

Spent too much time on speed board hoping for that one magic run that eluded me. Think my speeds suffered a little due to sacrificing my new vector speedweed 25 to the captain.Wink

Also a big thanks to the Hollins family for their generosity & hospitality, albeit we had to share the dining table with a couple of shady critters from the other side of Port Phillip BayTongue out Can't wait to do it all again.

Mainly sunny fun day with all ya mates. Way too south but the fastest run of the day (I think) was on port tack with the 23cm KA Symmy.

That 2012 4.4 Koncept is quite a unit.

Ka '12 Race 5.5, Goya Quad/MFC400/200 for the Alpha and NM, with a peak of 37 Cool did 34 on it at Corro's over summer so knew it should go faster, and will probably do so again inbetter conditions with more wind.    Speed board early on for the 5x10,,2s, too much south for great speeds but the sunshine and company made up for it chasing each other back and forth.
