Canton Beach, NSW, AU            Mostly S some SE and SW  . 20 to 40 knots  , CA/ SL 62 ,  warp 5.8

looked very flat , got out there to, much board and fin , the chop was pretty big , was pissing myself with fright in the big gusts trying to do speed runs in that chop , Cant wait to see Byrons posts he was smoking on his speed board , looked in full control , everyone else was a bit out of control , a load of tail walking going on , One plus,my 5.8 warp was perfect in the big squalls

Nice to meet Wysie down there to , i hope my rig didnt ding your van when it went flying !!!!!!!!!

Canton Beach, NSW, AU started at 9am what a day. started on CA 44cm speed board with 5.4m with my own made weed fin was a good set up but only realy totaly powered up in a couple of the gusts which had 37.8 peak on the dial. The tide was high so it was definatly not flat.I think needed more west and lower tide to make it flater and 35 to 40 knots and we can definatly go alot quicker. Had a great day sailing with the locals who are so friendly. Ended up on my 90 L slalom exosite board with borrowed weed fin from Mick "thanks mate" managed 35.5 knots on this but was never totaly powered up I think 6.2m would have been beter but to cold to change rigs.

I am now drinking bear and about to have spa bath very sore hard work on speed board.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

What a shocker. It was blowing 20-30 knt S. Went out, couldnt hold it, returned to check DH and yep, 20 mm short.

Added extra DH. wind easing but the rig felt great. Then the wind died to 5-8. I turned around to slog it back. Even

with a 90 l board and 5.9  maui sail it was still a long walk back.

Great numbers Byron. Especially the distance on what was a very cold day. Canton Beach is a great spot for speed sailing. Hopefully sailors will be hitting 40 knots there this winter.

Milsy 40 isn't a barrier for you. Its just a number you'll pass shortly before you are going over 50 knots.

Greg, it seems like it took you a while to reach 30 and now its happening every time you go windsurfing.

Hey Bryan, what size custom weedy were you using on your 90 lt slalom board?? Im thinking of going down the line of custom aswell and im on an 86 isonic so size should be pretty similiar.
