4580 days ago Bit underpowered but had the chance to tune the Hot Sails GPS 5.5, worked a lot better with 2cm more downhaul. Also was getting used to the small board today, felt a lot more comfy on it and a lot more confident. Only one decent fast run where I had two different bear aways, one half way down the course and the other over the channel, both had 34.8+ peaks.
Much more pleasant than yesterday, but the wind was too square for me

4580 days ago Not the best speeds, a tad gusty and maybe I should have gone up a size from the 5.2m X15. Board was the iSonic 87 fitted with the C3 Venom 26.
Also need to look at the cam spacers, not quite right I think.

4580 days ago Wanted to properly test  23,24 and 25 Crossfire against my PB fin the TM50, so some fast fin changes and a good hour on each fin, first thing is how much difference 1cm makes...
25 had too much lift and 23 not enough, the 24 was perfect and gave the most control and all the top speeds, even making the TM50 feel pretty awful.Â
Conditions were not perfect, sailing the end of the west coarse, it was too square then went too broad ... one of those days but a good session with Lance N and the crew.

4580 days ago Great day on the water and so nice to have good wind for the time of year.
Big congrats to Pete Young for his achievement yesterday, well done mate.

4576 days ago 2 categories After the wild winds of yesterday, the weather in Cornwall had transformed and we were left with warm sunshine and steady strong winds in the morning. The wind had shifted due west so Daymer or St Johns was on the cards, and Jonny V being the resident weather guru gave the nod for St Johns. Once the tide had receeded the wind had dropped somewhat, but it was just enough for the small slalom board and 6m, although we were off the plane at times, Very very nice conditions indeed and the wind was swinging from west to west/south west and it was actually better on the square angle. Had a superb sail overall, great weather, just three of us on slalom gear and really easy fun sailing. Pretty pleased with a 36k 500 in hardly any wind too. Without a doubt the best day of the year... more of this please.
