The wind increased during the afternoon. The average speed was gradually picking up, but then I had an interesting crash which ended my session. Harness was broken and also one batten. Also the rope of my front end piece of the boom broke. So had to walk back. Too bad. Could have been a PB.

Sessie 54: \"leermomenten\" vandaag voor mij, ik wens de gecrashten een snel herstel toe!

WHOOOOOH YEAH. When I arrived in Makkum I rigged the 4.2 Blade and the 5.6 Reflex II. I thought it would be very choppy so I first played in the waves a bit. When I came back I felt an itch to go speedsurfing so I fetched my GPS and went for it.

I checked out Biefstuk expecting nothing and in my recon-run I already reached a 69 peak. The second run was the most epic one of the day with a 73,8 max display and a 71,46 run, 2 personal bests!! I felt like I could do more but the chop got higher and reaching high speeds got more difficult. When I returned I discovered my AVG was 0,01 km/h lower than my PB so I decided to try one more run. This worked out and now I also have a PB on average, very nice!

After this I went for another wave session which was also very epic.
