Very enjoyable day, blasting with James for a while, good fun. Good to have some sailors from the Tablelands and Cairns on the water.

Frustrating sailing made worse seeing the wind fill in as I buggered off Frown

I was stuck in the FNQ Bermuda Triangle for awhile, thought I was going to have to swim to work Wink

Round one to you Kel, I thought with my bigger engine and plenty of slippery downhaul I was going to keep you honest Laughing

Got down to the boat ramp mid morning after packing up the camp site. Wind was presssing and showing signs of strengthing from 13-15 to a solid 15knts, possibly a touch more by the time the missus dragged me out of the water. Had a cracking couple of hours, some really solid runs. No PB's but a good fun session B4 heading back to reality. It was really good to see so many sailors out on the water, said G'day to as many as possible, missed a few - maybe next time guys and gals. Great weekend.

Kurrimine Beach, QLD, AU   Mal, James, Ian, Bill, Geoff  and Rossco were dominating the lagoon this morning so I decided to wait for the tide to drop a bit before I went out.        Herby is still out of action and it will over a week before he is on the water again.      However, he is still capable of rigging so I got him to put a 5.0m Gastra (that is about 20 yrs old) up.    I took the 105l Screamer and joined in the fun.

Firey, (and others)   I think there will be wind tomorrow.

Off to the pub now to hear KiterBob entertain.

Only windy when Bob was sailing and dropped out when he stopped, Wink

Nice sail, Glynn the nomad and Troy came out to play. Had some good rolling swells out wide to play on. Wind was up and down like a whores drawers. Trying for a decent hour but of cause the wind started dying with 15 minutes to go.

Congrats to the PB's Billy and Troy. Sorry I didn't catch up with you at Kurri Bill but good to see you enjoy a bit of paradise.

Good to see Lyn on her 5.0 scooting along and passing some of us grommets on larger gear.

Firie and Justin, hope you can get down to Kurri tomorrow, will be nice to catch up, even better if there's some wind

Nice PBs Troy & Billy. Great hour too Phil. Firie, you and I must be the team sacrifices at the moment - I went out this arvo after moving mountains to get a babysitter but got skunked. Didn't even bother bringing the gps home to download "session".

Well done with the PB's Billy and Troy! Cool

Great to see that the Kurri crew got a sail in, and the southern FNQ Mob as well!

Nice hour too Phil! Hope your lucker with the wind next time, I dont bother trying for them at the beach anymore as I always end up with a 15min hole somewhere.

Is it your time to get away next weekend Snags? Only 10hrs to Green!Wink

Had a nice sail  this arvo in Port Douglas, There where  a few tourist out sailing and a couple of locals nice easy wind around 14,15 kts a bit stronger out wide was using big gear as that is all i have at the moment, GPS still not working so no postings for the team, not sure what is wrong with it seems to be working but shows nothing on file. If anyone has any idears what the problem may be please let me know.. my guess for todays effort would be 60 to 70km in distance top speed 25 to 26kts that is what i usualy get up here on a casual sunday arvo sail..... On another matter i am looking at replacing my' trashed 101 Futura' with a,' 101lt Fanatic Falcon ' 2011 model,If anyone has sailed one or has any experience with these boards i would be interested to hear what you think of them....many thanks for all the offers of a boards to sail, but  I think i will wait for my own one, that way i will not feel so bad when i break it..Cheers Ed.
