Queens Lake with Adam and Phil. Gusty squally from the Sw at 10-25 knots with a few stronger gusts. Very choppy and wavy in the middle of the lake, but found some flat water at the usual spot at the eastern end of the lake. Cold today without the sun ,but still good fun.Hopefully more wind tomorrow.

F2 sx medium, Gaastra 6.5m gtx, Lessacher 28cm weedy.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU

99L Falcon and 6.7m Hellcat, 30cm FO Weedy

Sailed with Phil, Steve and Daniel

First time on this gear. Hellcat fresh out of the bag and packaging rigs super easy, and it gybes super easy too. 99 Falcon is so easy to sail compared to the 113 and planes and lifts so quick too. I only had an hour to sail today as I had to get back to work - shame, the mud bank had some reasonably clear / flattish water - I wish I had some more time to do a few more runs and dial in to the new gear. Funnily enough the run that I THINK I got the PB on was in a choppy section of water - the 99 eats chop better that the 113!

GPS max speed said 38.27kn, I got pretty excited as it is so hard to tell how fast you are going when you hit the flat on the mud bank. I wasnt super powered up so I thought it was too good to be true.  Steve said it would have been a 1 second spike, which disappointingly I found out it was when I logged in and got the 2 sec average. Regardless, very happy with scores and the new gear - runs well.

Looking forward to using it again tomorrow when I will have more time. Hope you Forster guys get up here - forecast is swinging back round to SW for tomorrow which is pretty much awesome for the bank.......will be great to have a big bunch of the team together for a sesh.

Port Macquarie, NSW, AU Sailed in PMQ today as i only had an hour or so available to sail. JP 92sl, jp sl29cm, Overdrive 6.7m. Very gusty and some very large chop.  first 1/2 hour was great then was sailing overpowered in most gusts. Should have rigged 6.0m Had some ok runs but got thrown over the front and broke harness line, that was the end of my day. Back to work i went. Hopefully get a chance to sail queens on Saturday.

Late posting for yesterdays run at Queens in the ice blizzard.  Had fun on a loaned wave board from Mark J. Froze after 3 hours. Sailed with Steve and Adam.

Well Done on the PB's Mick and AJ! Especially with new gear. Always an experience the first time on.

We had sun and wind here in the morning, but couldn't get enthused with the cold, first up. By the time I went to check it out, the rain set in and the wind was getting pretty savage.Decided to sit this one out.

Pete, Matt, Bill and Anton and myself will head up to Queens tomorrow. We'll be leaving about 9.00ish, so I guess we'll see you there after 10.00 or so.

Looking forward to a team board meeting!

Hi Mark. Thanks for picking this up, sorry my email is frozen so I couldnt get the file to you right away.

What causes these spikes? And what are they? Thanks mate - hope to see you on the water tomorrow? I wont get down till lunch time. The BoM coastal maps look pretty good, Sw- SSW

PS - cool programe that realspeed - where do I get this?

PPS - thanks for posting my tracks - my PB run is not the starboard run that i though would be my PB - I thought the deeper bearaway one would be it. Either side of the bank the chop was savage!

Hi Adam, to get a copy of Realspeed contact Mal Wright on www.intellimas.com    Yes, it is an excellent program.

Well done on the PBs! For some really flat water and sphincter clenching speeds try to make it down to Sandy Point for some or all of Speed Fortnight this year! Info on Seabreeze speed forum.

Thanks Mark, I hope they all get broken real soon.Cool

Gabe, nice to meet you too. I'm still on my L plates, so happy with anything over 20 knots. Actually, I'm just happy to go sailing! Will probably see you (and some of the other crew) on Wallis Lake in about 3 or 4 weeks. Plan on staying down there with the family for 3 or 4 days.

Cheers
