Totally didn't expect to be sailing today, but got a nice session in 15/20 kNts on the FSW kit. Good to get back on the water again. I might just have to pull the father's day trump card if it is still blowing tomorrow.

4495 days ago Lake Tinaroo, QLD, AU At first I thought there would be no sailing on dam today and was thinking about going home when Rossco arrived so decided to rig up and give it a go. Launched in a very weak S/Easter and sailed over to the Northern end of dam where I could see signs of a N/Easter starting. Lucky to get a run or two and then the wind not only dropped out but turned back into a weak S/Easter. Took a big effort to get back to Blackgully.
Used the 7.4m Loft 02 and 120l S/cross. Lyn has picked up a flu bug and decided to stay out of water.

me and my coach Hoppy Bob went for a look see after a call from Billy.
Firie was also there and rigged up but the wind had gone a little shy on us.
went out for a while ...come in and decided to call it quits. Thats when captain Kel
arrived and while washing down our gear the wind come back so we all went out for another
run. Looks like a few of us should be back tomorrow. HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ALL.

Not the best day but very enjoyable, very cruisey with lots of drifting and mobs of yacking. Gave it away and washed down my gear so the wind came in of course so out I went again for one more run and got my 2sec. Lent my gear to Kel who came down for an eyeball, told him the rules no going faster on my gear but he had no GPS and I wasn't lending him mine, the bugger is too good now

Freddy kindly lent me his Diablo today and I have to say that it was really nice to have that extra sail under my control. I was able to get up on the plane in our relativly marginal conditions and when the breeze did become a little more solid later in the afternoon, apart from physical fatigue, I was able to control the sail pretty well I thought. That is untill I was standing on the beach when one of the panel's blew..I was looking around expecting to see a snapped mast. Looks like its off to the sailmakers next week for repairs - Ill have it back on the water soon Freddy.
Was another pleaseant afternoon with the lads, great to see Serg back for another go. And thankyou for alll your support over the past 12 months mobbers, I can really feel the improvement and I reckon my figures bare testament. I'm posting late due to crappy internet service last night, just managed to get my KA72 download on and that was about it for the night. HAPPY Fathers Day to all who have accepted the best job in the world and I will catch up with you all again.
